HINTS AND TIPS

 

FOR A SMALL STAIN OR MARK IN YOUR CAKE
CLEAN WITH ALCOHOL USING A CLEAN BRUSH  AND TRY RUBBING JUST THE DAMP AREA WITH CORNFLOUR, THEN LIFT  THE CORNFLOUR OFF TO  REVEAL A CLEAR SURFACE!
RIBBON ON BOARD EDGES
SOME PEOPLE USE DOUBLE SIDED TAPE BUT WE PREFER TO USE A NON TOXIC STICK GLUE (PRITT STICK) JUST RUB THE STICK ROUND THE EDGE OF YOUR BOARD - SO MUCH EASIER IF YOU HAVE A TURNTABLE) AND THEN PLACE THE RIBBON ON TO IT, OVERLAP YOUR EDGES NEATLY AND BE CAREFUL UNTIL IT DRIES AS YOU WILL PUSH THE RIBBON OUT OF PLACE
SPARKLY GLITTERING STARS (OR ANY OTHER OBJECTS)
Paint PIPING GEL onto stars, hearts, numbers etc... Then sprinkle with edible glitter until completely covered, leave to dry for a  stunning, sparkling effect. If you do this on kitchen towel or a piece of foil or greaseproof paper you will be able to re-use the excess glitter - just tip it back into the pot.  The result will more than justify the effort!
